Ceramic collaboration

I went to Stockholm, to continue the work with Karin at Manos. It doesn't happen as often as I wish, nowadays. But still, it is always a pleasure when it does.

Karin + Camilla =

A set of two cups, made in a collaboration between me and ceramicist Karin Eriksson. The cups are cast in a white high fired stoneware clay, glazed in a matte silky soft white glaze and decorated with screen printd ceramic decals. The cups can be washed in the dishwasher and microwaved. Delivered in a hand crafted box from Norrmalms Kartongfabrik. Produced in Sweden and the UK.

Size: height 80 mm (3.1 inches) dia 65 mm (2.6 inches). A cup holds approximately 2,5 dl (0.6 lbs) of liquid.
please note the cups are made by hand and small differences in size or surface may occur.

Shop here!

We also started a joint website now, not much on it yet but still... www.karincamilla.com

The anniversary cups coming this Sunday!

When Karin and I realized that our friendship, this fall celebrates ten years, we thought something special was needed to mark the anniversary. So we created a set of cups in our own specialities - My illustrations paired with Karins ceramics. Making a set of cups feels like the ultimate way to celebrate our friendship and collaboration.

Everything will be ready and available this Sunday in manos webshop. We'll keep you posted!

We are still working on these

Karin Eriksson was here the other day! Soon, pretty soon this will be a couple of cups/mugs with a handle. And soon they will be for sale at Manos, virtually and in the the shop at Renstiernas gata in Stockholm. And hopefully some more shops because these will be available for wholesale as well :-)

Last week

My airplant from Berlin started to bloom.
I went to Stockholm's Concert Hall to celebrate Barbro Lindgren. And of course I spent most of my time at Manos with Karin, cooking for future projects (see past collaborations here!).

Visiting Manos

I took the flight from Östersund to Stockholm. To meet Karin (and David + the very young and cute, mister Leonard). We spent the day at her boutique and workshop, Manos on Renstiernas gata, chatting and planning a decal/porcelain workshop (!) in May next year. We also talked about the next step in our collaboration, it has taken a little longer time than expected. But things happens.
It is always a pleasure to meet with Karin and her gang.

A short tour in my home at Indie Fixx.

about the show

Thank you to all of you that joined us, you made it a very nice evening. Janine and Glen were two of them, I think they are back in Canada (and Uppercase) by now. But before they went back they joined us for thai food.

The porcelain will be available in the Manos shop at 12 midnight Stockholm time (see the world clock here)! Almost everything can already be browsed here now.

about the show - Preparations

Here are a few pic's from the preparation for the Studio Violet Re-used show at manos, the 1st of may. It was a wonderful trip, fantastic people, good food and sunny weather. We couldn't asked for more. I know Karin is working with the update of her shop with all the porcelain, just bare with us a little bit longer :)
More photo's tomorrow.
