I went to Stockholm, to continue the work with Karin at Manos. It doesn't happen as often as I wish, nowadays. But still, it is always a pleasure when it does.
.
A set of two cups, made in a collaboration between me and ceramicist Karin Eriksson. The cups are cast in a white high fired stoneware clay, glazed in a matte silky soft white glaze and decorated with screen printd ceramic decals. The cups can be washed in the dishwasher and microwaved. Delivered in a hand crafted box from Norrmalms Kartongfabrik. Produced in Sweden and the UK.
Size: height 80 mm (3.1 inches) dia 65 mm (2.6 inches). A cup holds approximately 2,5 dl (0.6 lbs) of liquid.
please note the cups are made by hand and small differences in size or surface may occur.
We also started a joint website now, not much on it yet but still... www.karincamilla.com

When Karin and I realized that our friendship, this fall celebrates ten years, we thought something special was needed to mark the anniversary. So we created a set of cups in our own specialities - My illustrations paired with Karins ceramics. Making a set of cups feels like the ultimate way to celebrate our friendship and collaboration.
Everything will be ready and available this Sunday in manos webshop. We'll keep you posted!

Karin Eriksson was here the other day! Soon, pretty soon this will be a couple of cups/mugs with a handle. And soon they will be for sale at Manos, virtually and in the the shop at Renstiernas gata in Stockholm. And hopefully some more shops because these will be available for wholesale as well :-)

My airplant from Berlin started to bloom.
I went to Stockholm's Concert Hall to celebrate Barbro Lindgren. And of course I spent most of my time at Manos with Karin, cooking for future projects (see past collaborations here!).

I'm going to Stockholm to meet Karin! We'll spend the day at Manos, talking about our collaborative work.
As you know, Karin and I are working on our collaboration. Before we launch the new things we've done we wanted to have a spring clearout of things we’ve kept to ourselves…
The new collaboration between Camilla Engman and Karin Eriksson will be released at the end of April - in Karin's shop Manos (Renstiernas gata 22 in Stockholm) and Manos online.
Karin Eriksson and I played the whole weekend. She'd brought a load of ceramics. We chatted, drank wine and worked, what more can one ask for :) This part is planned to be ready before summer, at least. Look what we have done together before - Part 1 and part 2

I wonder what Bibbi is doing? This time of the year she is usually telling us about the craft fair she's part of organizing here in Gothenburg - Upmarket Craft Fair. I will probably meet her there.

I often get questions about what to do to become an illustrator, I always feel I can't give any proper answer. But luckily for us there are other people out there wanting to share their experience and knowledge.
