Morran is relieved

Morrans surgery is postponed until november. So let's take a walk instead :)

I like Katy's jewellery a lot (I have a pair of earrings and a necklace that I use often. I wouldn't mind expanding my collection)

oh, i was starting to worry about morran, glad to hear she's ok.

how do you call the mushroom in the last picture in swedish?
in german it's "Krause Glucke" (love that name) and i think it's soo delicious!

Happy monday Emma!

Luise, I've never seen that kind of mushroom before so I can't say what we call it, I hope Krause Glucke (but in swedish :) So you can eat it!? It sure doesn't look good...

those bubbly pinkish things are traditionally called wolf's milk in finnish. i think they are beautiful, too. that big sponge-like mushroom may or may not be edible, one variety is very delicious but some may turn your stomach, so it's better not to try them based only on online recommendations. they usually appear in the same place year after year, so ask someone who knows their fungi and you may well have delicious meals from them in the future.

I'm glad there won't be surgery for a bit. And the fact that it's postponed must mean that it isn't too, too urgent, which is a good sign!

Oh a walk is so much better than surgery!

Those mushrooms are amazing.

i removed an earlier mushroom comment because i seem to have been wrong. we don't get too many cauliflower mushrooms in finland, so i assumed it was another species.

still, better to be too careful than sorry when picking mushrooms for eating.

and i don't want to discourage anyone from doing so, just don't go guessing. it's easy to assume and make mistakes, like i just proved today. :)

Your woods are so enchanting, those mushrooms look unreal.
I believe that mushrooms are weird things. They pop up overnight and it amaze me that some are really bad and other so good but all usually good looking.
About Morran, I keep sending her positive thoughts, poor little doggy!

You're so very fortunate to have such wonderful funghi so close to home! I just have toadstools :-( Still kinda lovely in a suburban way(!) I also love the jewellery - thanks so much for the reference.
