**Happy New Year**

Every year around the end of december I wish, extra much, english was my language. Every year I wish, extra much, writing and not drawing was my language. I would have written something beautiful about you and this blog, the part you/it take in my life. I would have written about all the lovely people I've met and will meet through this place.
If words and not pictures where my passion, maybe this place wouldn't excist. Oh well, all I can say is that I'm very happy about this place and all it brings :)

I wish You, the blog and myself a happy and healthy 2008! I hope to see you around :)

Christmas trees

First my own, not yet dressed, tree. Then a small paper variant, for the birds maybe.

Merry Christmas!

I have to start with an apologize. Not a single Christmas card has left from my home this year! I'm sorry about that, I'll try to do better next year :)

But nevertheless - I wish you a Merry Christmas!

It isn't easy to draw on the train.

I like very much to wake up somewhere else. The whole day is out there waiting. Today you will do new things.

Pepparkakshus, gingerbread houses.

Christmas shopping.

Fun clothing from Paul and Joe. I want the Norway says Mhy pendant, from Muuto.

Book by its cover

Book by its cover - The Sketchbook series.

Like clouds

This lava almost looks like little bits of clouds fallen to the ground.

How are you doing, have you all christmas gifts set? It's not fun out there in the cities right now. Really hard to keep the calm. If you know what you want to buy but don't have the time you can always make an extra nice personal "Gift certificate" writing about the gift and go buy it together at another more convenient time. Works best with grown ups though :)

It was so nice to meet Karin (and David). Her new place is very beautiful. I'll show you photo's later on.

Antique religious statues, thanks for the link Elly Yap.
Lovely fabric, and this twig is pretty nice too, found through ah-yi.

I hope you haven't missed my Christmas gift tags :)

I'm taking the train to Stockholm to see Karin (and her new studio/shop). Haven't seen her since we were in Istanbul in october. I'll be back on friday :)

Stiff upper lip

Today we celebrate Lucia. I have to work so I just ate the traditional Lucia bun, Lussebulle, and lit some candles.

Christmas lights are up, I will buy a tree this weekend.

Nice typography.

Underwater sculptures

The world’s first underwater sculpture park outside Grenada, by Jason de Caires Taylor. Here's more of his work on land. This beautiful link was found through Bibbi.

Look carefully

Illustration to the same magazine as the naked guy. When you buy a new apartment, look carefully in every corner. Who knows what you can find.

Ceramics

This weekend I ran around on a lot of Christmas markets, mostly ceramics. This pictures are from the top Ingela Jonasson, the legs and finger gestures are made by Ann-Louise Gustavsson both of them from Chokladfabriken. The last photo is one of the pieces I brought back home, it's made by Frida Mälarborn at Laboratoriet femton, it has Camilla written all over it don't you think :)
(Laboratoriet femton och andra ateljeer har öppet även nästa helg 11-17, Carnegiegatan, Göteborg)

Karin had a Christmast sale in her new place, it looks amazing!

Design*Sponge has made a gift guide, here's one of the things I'm wishing for.

Warm light

I wanted to show you how the windows in Sweden looks like right now. I think that more than 75% of all windows have a star or an electric candlestick (it's the thing that looks like an upside down "v"). The whole city is full of light.

Every year, for about 15 years, we have walked out in the forest and made a fire, we just sit there and stare at the fire, drinking Glögg (almost like Gluwein) and talks. It's very very nice.

Re-using is necessary these days, so I'll post some old links - Cecilia Andrews - Angel Delgado - Karin Seufert.

Straight and crooked

This week my plan was to wake up at 7, eat breakfast and take a walk with Morran. So I could start painting at 9 o'clock. There is so few hours of light this time of the year. It didn't work that way. I woke up at 9.30 almost every day! Later than usual. My body wants to sleep 8 hours and I go to bed to late... maybe next week ;)
Ladies and gentlemen, I wish you a good weekend.

The grumpy eraser

There he was, the grumpy eraser head. With his shiny hairdo, water-combed I think.
The other photo is leftovers from my process.

Tuesday

A day with sun, first one for a long time. At least it feels like it. Those days are like diamonds.

Different artist are displaying their art in different shoppingwindows. I've only seen this one so far. I couldn't detect any name but I'm pretty sure this is Britt Ignell.
Another swedish sculptore that I like a lot is Bianca Maria Barmen, unfortunately I can't find any good web site.
Got to go back to work :) Over and out.

American pancakes

I will give my self two weeks to consentrat on art projects, nothing special, just taking time for painting. I wanted the day to start in a different way than it usually does so I went out for breakfast. A stack of american pancakes and a lot of maple syrup. I couldn't resist to eat all of it and almost felt sick afterwards, eating to much. I once spent 5 weeks in USA and gained 5 kg/11 pounds, a lot thanks to all the pancakes I ate :)

Morran seemed more inspired than I did.

Maria has updated her shop for Christmas, she's found another one to make season-collaborations with - Lena. Our last project is still available.
