Next stop Documenta 14

My third Documenta visit. I was very excited about it but I have to say it was a disappointment. There was some good parts of course, but most of the time it felt like visiting a preparatory art school exhibition. Bad lightning and to little information didn't make it better. Add to that that Kassel might be the most grey and sad city in Europe. I think Documenta is a big event in Kassel so if it feels dead during I wonder how it is the rest of the time.... We left one day early. Here are some of the highlights though.

Starting with Agnes Denes, The living pyramid. Ibrahim Mahama. Parthenon of books, 100 000 banned books, Marta Minujin.

A roadtrip begins

It started with a ferry, from Sweden to Germany. It was surprisingly nice! Mostly truck drivers, soft, nicely designed for a ferry, a nice bar and since the boat was from Finland there was, of course, a sauna!

Copenhagen

Went for a short trip to Copenhagen, to see the Kills at Vega and to see a bit of Copenhagen. It's been a while since I visited so it was of course a bit different... more trendy in a way. Well. It was a nice trip and the concert was great! Husky Loops was the supporting act and I liked them a lot too (not all of us did though :-).

Preparations

The exhibition is up and we are very happy with the result! We worked for three days and nights to get it all in place. Loved it all the way. Here is a few pictures from the hanging part, hanging at the gallery and hanging in the city of Vänersborg. The last pic is from the opening, more pics from the show to come.

Excuse my abcense

I'm in work mode. Working towards an exhibition in the beginning of March, together with Björn Hellström. I thought I had two more weeks... but if nothing goes wrong I will still make it. I love this last part, when works override everything and you just go for it. Turn up the volume and work work work. I'm very much looking forward to see how it all turns out in place.
