This is one of the paintings from my current exhibition, the Oarswoman 94x122 cm (37x48 inches).
She is also on the cover on my calendar for 2011. There is so many calendars out there...! Maybe this will be the last year for me, we'll see.
The calendar is just one way of expressing yourself, which, by the way we appreciate...But, whatever you decide, Please do not stop the blog. You are such an inspiration to me :)
I like the fact that there is always more to discover... slowly you realize all the hidden things like the wrapped parcel, the small animal (?) in the boat and the strange looking thingies behind the rocks. oh, and her smudged eye make up - was she crying?
and please keep up doing the calendar, camilla! yes, there are a lot of them, but not many worth collecting like yours!
Your blog was the 2nd I ever discovered and I liked it so much, I couldn't stop scrolling over it. If one interprets other artwork you can discover sometimes a lot. Sometimes not really about the person who made it, put about the person who interprets it! But for me your latest paintings seem to show something very lonlely and turned away from others. Maybe you're overworked and need some break. You should know you would be missed here in bloggorama land.
Never say last one. The painting is so full of streght...cannot find words in english to describe... "Indarrez beteriko emakumearen burruka. Egunero" Something like, the continous fight of the woman..everyday.

oh, I love this new painting—and you know I love your calendars, too.
If you do stop, maybe you can make some card sets? I am greedy to have reproductions of your artwork any way I can :)
I do love her so.
Happy weekend Camilla!
Thank you, you are all so sweet! Have a good weekend you too.
super painting; i'd like to be sailing in a boat right now too :-)
Det er et meget smukt billede.
Og der er "a time for everything"
Alt er godt
