Home sweet home

So nice to be home! I feel totally lost, now I will have to try to find my way back to normal. Right now it is like beeing a tourist in my own life. Billy Shire illustrates my feeling :)

So long and relaxing you want to go home :) But I'm already dreaming of next year.

Happy coincidence

One day on our walk home for lunch someone a car stopped and called "Camilla, Morran!" It was Pancho Tolchinsky and Catalina Estrada! They live in Barcelona, only a two hour drive, and had a weekend vacation in Cadaques. We have never met in real life before. But some people you just know that you like just knowing them from the internet, so I was very happy to meet them and they were as nice as I had imagine. We had a lovely time together.

The fishermen in Port Lligat were celebrating San Pedro day, they treated us grilled sardines with bread and aioli and a glas of rosé.

Mr Peacock

One camping had a lot of peacocks. They ran around showing off and hooting. One ate Morrans dogfood and drank out of her water, she was too hot to care about it.

St Tropez

We didn't just stay at the campsite :) We also visited St Tropez. It was much nicer than expected! We went to the local market and a brocante, sat by the ocean and ate a very good moule frites. Morran always gets a big bowl of water, we don't have to ask for it. There was some extremely luxury yachts, when we passed the people on them were sitting and eating breakfast with their servants asking them if they wanted more tea, or something. But they missed mElvis!

A camping and Elvis

This is a campsite outside St Tropez in France. The first night we stayed there we heard Elvis (or in this place Melvis Bouvier) from the camping next doors. The night after he visited our camping, and I would guess he was singing at the camping on the other side the next night and so one. This was a place with campsite after campsite, situated just by the mediteranean sea.

Oh, how nice it is to travel. To forget about everything you normally do. Which is getting more and more difficult, with all the technology available. I haven't touched a computer for a whole month! I even like that I can't understand what people are chatting with each other about. I can make the story up myself, and voila! everyone is talking about philosophy.

France is a very beautiful country

Bon jour. I can speak no french at all. But they don't seem to notice. I wanted to have a paper bag collection as Siepsfabriek, but the problem is that it has always been some kind of cookie in mine, and they stain.

Travelling

Our vacation involves a part of driving and camping, mostly in France. It's a nice part of the vacation but also the most strenuous part. I love eating breakfast outside the tent in the mornings, I hate when I gotta go pee in the middle of the night. It is very exciting to visit new towns, but sometimes you stop at the wrong one. It is nice to drive along in the car, without having to do anything. The ideas flow so well when on the move. I hate autobahn, but I'm glad it is there to take me in almost no time to france :) I like that the biggest problem is to chose a restaurant to eat. Morran loves it! She even likes the Autobahn, she always finds plenty to eat at the resting places.

Just a short note

And a quick Hi! We are back from our vacation! Johan and Sandra took care of our plants when we were away. They welcomed us with freshly baked bread :)

Suddenly my photos felt tiny, I had to change my layout. But it feels a little bit scary. How will my photo quality live up to this. We'll have to see. I'm living in the shadow of the great ones - Elisabeth and Sandra... maybe I'll have to buy a new camera too. It is the camera it depends on, isn't it? ;) Well I guess I will just have to continue to post as usual and soon this will feel like my normal photo size.
