I had to add something

The hanging part went very well, with a lot of help from the gallery people - especially Daniel (thanks!). When I went to bed my mind started to work extra time. I felt I had to add something, something vivid and generous. So the next day I went there to meet the press I re-arranged a little bit and added this, sort of behind everything.

What a wonderful space for your pictures to be displayed. I like the extras that you added - a big splash of liveliness to offset the serenity of the paintings. By that I mean that the paintings look serene seen from a distance, the subjects aren't necessarily serene at all and there is always a lot going on under the surface which I think we interpret in our own way.
Does that make sense? I don't know what I'm talking about really :o). Anyway, good luck with it all. Your view from the train looked snow free - we had lots here in the East of England over the weekend. Very early for us - all gone today though.

bra att du la till det där extra!

det blev kanske lite väl tillrättalagt utan det?
