I've made a Kokeshi doll for a show in San Diego the 3rd of november - http://www.subtextstore.com/. Organized by Christina.

Some of the participating artists:
Audrey Kawasaki, Julie West, Marcos Chin, Calef Brown, Catalina Estrada, Gina Triplett, Jeremiah Ketner, Julie Morstad, Koralie, Stéphane Tartelin, Susie Ghahremani, Jen Corace and many more.

Here's some traditional kokeshi's
