Thank you for your stories so far! I love to read them :)

Yesterday it was the Fat Tuesday, it's the day when all of Sweden eats Semla.

  2. Being in the US I can't just go out and buy one. I was planning on baking my own, but sadly the city sewer backed up into our basement on Sunday (when there was a holiday on Monday) so instead DH & I spent 8 hours emptying much of the basement - thankfully with a team of four strong men from a restoration company. But that left no energy or time to bake any this year. I just may have to do so soon anyway as it has been a few years since I last made them.

  4. Fat Tuesday celebrations are a favourite of mine... and that wrapper with two potential lovers and their sweet bite is very charming.

  6. Oh yum!
    It makes me hungry!

It's interesting seeing the equivalent of fat tuesday in different countries. In uk it's Pancake Tuesday (the only day of the year when Nutella sells out ;)) and back home we have a fat thursday (last thursday before lent) and you eat donuts and other fried cake things...
