I know it is silly, but that ray of light on my kitchen wall has been away for months, so seeing it makes me happy. Celebrating with my fourth Semla :)
I can always count on you to let us know when it's semla time. We who are not in Sweden lose track of these things. Now I must hunt up my recipes and give it another go. I'm a bit glad that they're hard to make.
It's funny, your semla actually looks like an spanish pastry called "bamba de nata": http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bamba_de_Nata-Mallorquina-Madrid.jpg
We, Portuguese, have exquisite pastry. But when I went to Stockholm, I taste Semla and like it a lot! Thank you for this memory Camilla! Enjoy your sun and you Semla. K_line
Semla looks very nice - I'd gladly lick that cream...
ReplyDeleteP.S. That ray of light - spring is getting closer!
