Yesterday I had a fika with Alexandra (I think she was toe-flirting with me ;). We had a nice time. We said goodbye and parted. About one hour later I met her and Eric by accident, so we had another fika! After all that coffee I visited Britt Ignell's exhibition at Stenasalen. I also went to see some of Jockum Nordströms originals for the Pekka and Sailor books.

What would I have to do to make Fika happen in the States? Is it just like having coffee with someone? Is there a treat involved?

Swedish coffee is strong :) it is espresso, here cafe latte.

It looks like such a wonderful way to spend time with friends! I wish we had a fika culture here in the States instead of a Starbucks on almost every corner, all of them with the same exact menu and atmosphere. Sigh!
