First the ascetic, but still very nice, fika . Then the opposite and last my fika with myself at home.
Next monday I will go to Istanbul with some friends (Karin is one of them). I'm looking forward to the trip very much. We are going to the Art Biennial. Have you been there? You maybe live there, any suggestions or tips?
I want to eat all of these lovely Turkish dishes, at least the ones without meat. I'm a little bit worried about the Ramazan, it's going on when we are there. I can't wait to visit the Old Bazaar.

Have a wonderful trip!
I went to Istanbul many years ago. It was an eye opener for sure. The blue mosque was my favourite and I can still taste the most amazing fish stew I ever ate just can't remember where that was. Lots of apple tea too. You will love it!
definetly love the third one :)))
yum!
Hi Camilla!
I've read your blog and have been a fan of your artwork for awhile but have never left a comment here. I run a website in the states selling handmade goods (www.cutxpaste.com), but have been living here in Istanbul for the last year.
If you need any recommendations of things to do and see (or eat!) please feel free to email me at: info [at] cutxpaste.com.
There will still be plenty to eat even though it's Ramazan. :)
Iyi yocuklar (Bon Voyage...or literally translated happy travels).

so jealous you are going to istanbul! wowie!
love the fikas! :) now i'm hungry
Jag var i Tunisien under Ramadan förra året och det var inga problem alls.
Tania (http://chocolateachuva.blogspot.com/) just came back from Turkey and is telling us all about it in her few last posts (in english). Apart from the fact that we are both connected to Lisbon, I´m not related to her at all - I´m just enjoying her travelling stories very much. :)
And your art rocks! :)
beautiful fikas! i have heard great things about istanbul, especially the food. have a great trip!
We went to Turkey in '98 and ate soooo much in Istanbul...loved it!, its a beautiful city and hidden in the Bazaar are some amazing textiles!. We were in Tunisia for Ramadan, there's nothing to worry about, i found it very interesting and we were just discreet when we ate and drank during sunrise and sunset. I think Istanbul may be a little more relaxed than the small towns of Tunisia. Have a wonderful trip and i look forward to seeing your photos!
Don`t forget to drink "ayran", specially if you eat hot. Nice Trip!
men wtf, jag har ju bara slickat frimärken hela dagen och inte fotograferat! uppdatera själv!
mums vikka goa fikor, grattis på kanelbullens dag förresten!
Härliga fikabilder, jag blir grymt sugen!
