Freezing

It looks nice outside, but it is very very cold. Morran only want to go out for short walks and I had to buy myself a new warm jacket. Today we took our morning walk to a café, got warm again, and then back home. That way the walk got a little longer :)

Morran want me to order one of these Pet portrait rubber stamps made by Kozue.

Everything is packed and shipped

Everything is packed and shipped to Karlskrona Konsthall. So now I am working on smaller things that I can bring on the train when I will go to Karlskrona on thursday (hanging day, friday is press day and saturday is opening day).

My brother has a mustache

It was my brother's birthday the other day. Instead of buying something we spent an evening together. Here he is at an old-fashioned barber for shaving. He got this mustache wax that I put my hands on because of the nice packaging.

Östersund

Last chance to see my paintings at Galleri Remi in Östersund, the exhibition ends on sunday the 28 november. Next weekend I'll have a show opening in Karlskrona Konsthall on saturday, I'll tell you more about that next week.

Not just work

In between shows

Building piles for Morran. She had surgery about a week ago (again I know... another lump and another scare on the belly). She is alert and happy again though :)

The book is back in my webshop!!

I know I said that the book "The Suitcase series vol. 1 - Camilla Engman" was sold out and that I would not order more of them from Uppercase. But I like them so much and wanted them to be in my shop, afterall it is a book full of me, so I did :-) order new ones. Once again it is available in my webshop again!

The oarswoman

This is one of the paintings from my current exhibition, the Oarswoman 94x122 cm (37x48 inches).
She is also on the cover on my calendar for 2011. There is so many calendars out there...! Maybe this will be the last year for me, we'll see.

Visiting Manos

I took the flight from Östersund to Stockholm. To meet Karin (and David + the very young and cute, mister Leonard). We spent the day at her boutique and workshop, Manos on Renstiernas gata, chatting and planning a decal/porcelain workshop (!) in May next year. We also talked about the next step in our collaboration, it has taken a little longer time than expected. But things happens.
It is always a pleasure to meet with Karin and her gang.

The rose of Jericho

I got this little treasure from a friend, the Rose of Jericho, native to deserts of North Africa. A resurrection plant. It is beautiful just as it is but you are supposed to put it in water (I'm waiting until Christmas) and it will get alive and green, then you can dry it again and use it over and over again. See the process here.

Preparing for an exhibition

Next week I'll take the night train to Östersund. where I've never been before. To hang my exhibition at Galleri Remi, the opening is at saturday the 13th. Right now I'm concentrating on the selection and packing part, the courier will fetch the paintings on monday.
I guess some of these paintings will end up in my next calendar (if I'll make one will say). One of the larger paintings is already on the cover for the calendar I've made for 2011.

Late, but I hope not too late

I have a few thank you's that are a little late.
