It is a party at Andra Långgatan. Konstepidemin has their big day. HDK graduation exhibition starts - wich Sandra and Johan is part of BUT most important of all - S and J will have a party to celebrate that they have got married :) Morran and I will certainly celebrate with them.

Göteborgs Stad Kulturstipendium

Yesterday I had the honor to receive a cultural scholarship from Gothenburg City, it was very solemn but nice. Here's a few of the other fellows - Jill Lindström, Kerstin Ringedal, Astrid Askberger, Hendrik Zeitler and Ulrika Henström.

Morran

Thank you for all your get well comments and thoughts! Morran is doing fine now. She had her first walk in the forrest without a leash today. We are still trying to take it a little bit slow. Nature is showing it self from the prettiest side. It is growing, it is singing, it is soft and sweet. So green it almost make your eyes hurt.

What about spending a week(end) here? Link from Bibbi and Navid.

White as a canvas

I had a stylist and a photographer in my home, they wanted to do a reportage. They wanted to mess my home up, to make it look romantic ;) I haven't seen any photo's yet. Here's their websites, Johanna and Marie.

:)
Blofield (imagine floating around in a lake on this one)
Chesterfold (and these on a campsite, maybe with a nice lamp, why not a chandeliere)

My kokeshi

It's finished!
Here's a group on flickr with vintage kokeshi's.
Another, totally different, japanese doll.
Yet more dolls, Misako Mimoko.

Studio visitors

As a swede you don't like to complain over the sun, but it is just a little little bit sunny and warm with those windows. I bought a fan today. We had a small party in the studio this weekend, Marie-Louise, Fideli, Sara and Bibbi visited me. We ate indian take-away and drank wine and smoked on the sly on our terrace :) Soo nice to meet them all.

Things to appreciate

An old tree, smooth over time. Sun seeping through newborn fresh green leaves. Sun dried sheets.

I hope you haven't missed these dialogues over at Desing for mankind. And that Lisa Congdon is up blogging again.

You can see her smiling

Morran is not allowed to walk so much for a while so I've put this old box for beer on my bike where she can sit. She's not allowed to jump up and down in the sofa so now the sofa have stairs :)

This is such a neat paper bag. Here's another one by Stefan Diez.

Well, have a nice weekend.

Trying to catch up

I'm making a kokeshi for a show at Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Remember my last one?
A whole (but tiny) book about fika :) from Janette Bornmarker. I don't think I chosed my fika as well as she suggests in the book though.

This week will be good

Last week was bad. Started bad and ended bad. We had to take Morran to the vet again, she became very sick of her painkillers. They kept her until today. When we got home, with a very happy Morran (and as happy Camilla), a whole bunch of packages waited behind the door! So isn't that a good start of this week, to get your dog back and get surprise packages :) An issue of the illustration magazine 3x3 with a lot of illustrations from Silas Neal that I like a lot. A pink envelope with an invitation for a party, from two people that eloped and got married in Berlin (maybe you can guess from whom). A package from sweet Susie, queen of sweet, and a package from Erika a very very nice person. Thank you!

A little late

So much happend these last weeks I didn't have time to blog about it. Spring happend, hot and lovely. Bibbi and I went to artist's open studios here in Gothenburg, I think I walked for 7 hours that day (the pink rabbit is from Ditte's studio, I couldn't take any decent photo of her work). Emma was in town, reading and showing her originals in a bookshop, I popped in and scared here and popped out again.
