Studio thursday

I bought a big carpet to my studio since I couldn't stand the ugly floor. It feels much better now. If you have trouble working you can always photograph :)

I love the blog world! Peg (grafikmuse) sent me a package full of "stamp rubber", since I can't get hold of it here in Sweden Thank you so much!! Now I'll just have to figure out what to do on/with them. Here's a rubber stamp tutorial. Hier houd ik is a creative rubber stamp carver. Kirkus makes nice stamps with letters. After making rubber stamps I would like to do this :)

Love the carpet! In my previous studio the floor was ugly too, but the problem was that it was a carpet already. They eventually ripped it off (after I left).

The package is great! I love receiving "snail" mail...

i also want to make stamps. i've been thinking about it for a while but it's also not that easy to find the rubber here in germany. i have one more option left, otherwise i will maybe just use erasers...

oh stamp rubber! I've been craving some ever since stumbling across Geninne's stamps. Can't wait to see yours as well!

I love your dog! Do you bring him/her to your studio? I used to have airdale terrier back home.
Now I think I might try to make my own simple stamp.
Hmm... Thanks for sharing :)

Morran is almost always with me. Sometimes when she's not it feels like it is difficult to walk without a leash in my hand (I wrote leech first, ha ha).

I really like the look of your studio space with its different areas for different types of work. And, I agree, on such days when you have trouble working or the gap between mind and hand is too great, you can always take pictures. I feel that way today... I can see it all in my head but my hands are failing me. Best get the camera out...

Your studio looks wonderful and cozy. I love rugs on wooden floors. It warms the place right up. I've never played around with stamps before, but it looks like fun! Have a good weekend.
